I found it that this is not a good solution, because, I need to upload the file to internet. This caused a problem which is a very large file which is not suitable for online learning tool. So, change my pictures into vector graphics using Freehand MX Software. This software solves the problem of the large file, and also can easily animate the body part of T-rex.

I think I wasn't really well to achieve my aims, because I run out of time, I need to manage my time, This effect to the audio of my project. I got other units that also need to concentrate on, which is 3D units. This unit is so consuming my time. That why I don't really finish this project 2, there are still a lot of things that I want to add. But, nevermind, I will recognize this as my experince to do a better time management.

Week 13

My research as I said before in week 6, I have collected pictures, which from my photograph by take shot some pictures in the museum of Australia in city, I scan from book, or I got it from internet. There also some gather some information from the Museum, internet and books.

My Development to complete this project is I worked on my visual design. I think I've spent too much on my visual design and my script, so in the end I didn't do very well on the sound part. I'd like to have my design interesting, so I make a simple game. I think this way is effective, because people can learn things and also having fun, also by doing that, I have made the tool create an user experience, by eating their food, If wrong, It just wont do anything/won't adding the score. Otherwise, If the food ate my dinosaur is right, then the score will be added up.

Week 12

it discuss the issues of what it means to be a thoughtful designer in a knowledge construction culture. The interactivty are success to keep the user interact with the design.
There are 4 aspects that are important in the context of design.
The raw data is usefull, but with out the design, it will just be meaningless. For example the data of population in Australia. They are in the numbers. It will be more engaging if the data are converted to a circle that shows part of them in percent. The 4 aspects that's important are Data -->Information --> Knowledge --> Wisdom. This is so obvious that the Data is converted to Information as a sentence, then knowledge, after the user learn about it, the it will be become a wisdom for that person.

Week 8

What is the content about the radio? The contain that i listened is about the protection of Whale, that American use a low frequency sonor, that can disrupt the communication between whales , and dolphins.

how is it delivered through audio design? This use a kind of music mystery, and also , there is a background sound of a water. There is also the narration of speech. The narration is from the character perspective, for example, the human pretend to be an animal and then narrate the story for the user.

how effective are these techniques? These techniques are effective, because the kind of music mystery encourage people to becoma curious about the topic in it. Then the background sound of water is helping the listener by giving the feeling that the listener is inside the story, Finally the narration makes the listener feels that they are interact directly to the main character.

References :
Cetaceans VS Bush 2005, radio programme, ABC RadioEye, Australia, 4 November 2006

Week 7

The way of this image created is in a zoom out. So , we can see many things happened in one scene. It inspirate me to use it in my project, the use of colour in one thing, is not much, its just simple, this is a good idea for me to do my project, the other thing is the look and feel about this picture, it is enjoyable to look at it.

This design of this, shows / inform the viewer that this dinosaur is a vegetarian(not a meat eater). I'm going to use this style to inform the viewer with this kind of way. The use of colour is also simple.

I think in this picture, the t-rex is not really looks wild. I think I'm going to use this as a reference for my project, because my target audience is kids, and I don't want to scare kids with a scary looking thing. The colour used are limited. It is simple. It has a 3D look because of the shadow.

References:

AD&J [Image] 1980. This week i go to to the museum of Australia in City. I 've found that the museum is so cool, I started to take pictures from it. Actually Im not sure what topic that I want to choose. So I take some of pictures in the level 1 which is the population of Australia ages ago. Because, I think, I didn't do well in that Project. I didn't consider the speed of my animation. But, after I get feedback from my lecturer, I realize that. And also it's inspirate me that animation is not just about a moving picture, it is about the representation of a real thing, even though in my design, I made a character which is not real, It should have make sense about the speed, the moving of the UFO that I made, not just a linear tweening.

In this stage, this is my first time experiencing in Flash program, so I don't do well in this project, I 've play around with things, such as the animation in the scenario " When I am thinking". I think, to improve my work, I will consider about the animation, which is not too fast, not too slow. The other thing is I need to work better in my visual representation. I need to think in 3D way, even though this program is on 2D, but I need to manipulate my design in the way of 3D looks, because it is more appealing, and looks better

Week3

I decided to analyse the pirates one. the designers approaches to designing for education is, the design itself have a look and feel of the era of pirates, which the book seems old, and a bit damaged. The paper of the book in that design is not a pure white. It is a brown colour. The designers meet the objective very well. The user, for example myself, I feel like that I'm reading the original book of the Pirates Era. And also I've look at the map itself, it is so much different with today's map. They succeed to engage me to curious, and want to know more about it then about conveying the information, they also succeeded, because I as the user's perspective understand what's going on in it. It is a narrative story, First they start with zooming a book, then flipping the book until the end of the book. The techniques that they used is a narrative techniques.

Week 2

I think Maya Lin is a good designer. At the beginning, she seems doesn't have idea about this project. She is struggling about desining the Memorial of Vietnam War Veterean Memorial. She put effort into it, and also research about the project, and also think about some problem, then solving it. One of the example, she figure out what's the meaning of her lecturer said about" If my brother died in that war, I don't want to go to the Memorial".

Maya Lin think about this project, and come up with a good designed Memorial Vietnam War Veteran Project, a triangle shaped. After a lot of consideration, she used the reflective material such as granite, I think this idea is very good, because it gives the user feeling about the representation of the reflective image. The design itself also use the power of name, because if someone remember of other person, the person, will know a memory about that person, It gives a feeling more rather than use a still photograph which telling just a specific event.

The other thing, the design of this memorial is more conveying the message of the people who sacrifice to their country, not just we lost a person. It give the relative of the person who died in war a proud feeling, rather than just a sad feeling

Development Of Project 1

In this project, I have made the development. So, I 've got the meaning in the real way and the abstract way. Beside that, I have made approximately 130 digital photos. I produce them with everything bright , I took a photos. But there is some technical problem, that I found some of my picture are have the whitey thingy on around them. I asked my friend to help me, but still it doesn't work. I think I did in a right way, because when i use the magnetic lasso tool then crop the image, I've already tick the antialias off, and after that I move the image. I then try again and again, but still come up with that problem, but some of the image like chair, keyboard and the projector aren't have the white thingy.only the door and the lamp does have it

Did you succeed in bringing your vision and ideas to fruition:
I think I did, because when I found the idea, I don't care about what the software can do. But, I try to make my idea really work, and apply that idea.

What is the most valuable aspect that you learnt from the project:
The most valuable aspect is I need to consider looking at my design, that I am in the user's viewer , not me as the designer. If i look at the design in the user's perspective, I will get what the user really want is, not me as the designer who want to make the design look like as I want it look like.

How may you use the knowledge and skill you gained in the future:
I will try to apply my knowledge and skill gained. And if I got something wrong , I will learn from my mistake, and not to repeat the same mistake again, to make my design better.
I know that not everyone has a talent in certain subject, but I believe that everyone can improve their work.

Week 11-13: project progress

I have took hundreds of image of Curtin University, my theme is about my space in the University. After that I've made a collage. The eye, hand, and the mouth, it makes the feeling of a monster/evil thing. I think this is all about the surrealism.

(Oswald,H 1945)

In this picture, there are a combination of animal and people, and make it somekind of a strange look. A woman with no face make the viewer thing about a strange feeling. Also there is a ladder in this picture which show us that in surrealism there are no bound. It is a very good music classic. This music is really good, because this piece sound of music contain a certain feeling. Also It has a fade in and fade out, to make an impression that it can bring the people feeling up and down. “up” is identical with energetic, “encourage” the listener, and “down” is to make people relax. It has a very good combination of sounds. These pieces of music also have a empty sound. It relate to the design of surrealism, which is a “space”.

Analysis of Edgard Varese

There is a low sound, but most of the sounds are loud. In this sound piece, it’s different with Bohuslav’s. This sound has a human voice. This type of sound is kind of mystic feeling. Dark music, it sounds like they summoning something. The combinations of sounds are well with each other. It also has a fade in and a fade out.

http://artofthestates.org/cgi-bin/piece.pl?pid=83

Week 8-10: Literature

In this article some artist who has name Whitman, he made a theory that We need to see the world from a reversing way. I also think the design is not just about the cool looking graphics. But also can lead communicate message through medium. Design in this modern world is also has a mean of problem solving. I was learn that at my university.

In this article also talk about the video editing from past which is so difficult to be applied compared with these days, At the past time, to make a video we need to shoot every moment, but Now,all can be done using Computer. Video editing will be become more easy to do, and make a better qualities for the final piece of video.

Week 6: SOS

I watch the SOS program. At first. I was wondering why there are 2 guys dancing on the club, but when the camera zoom out, I look at the background place. It was so many naked guys dancing. After that I shocked and realized that it was on the gay bar. I really want to turn off my television, but I think this is for my project, I need to do this. so I keep on watching.

At last, i found it that this program is funny, because the story behind it is so interesting. The sound of this movie is so well, combined with the visual . There is a background sound which has a music on the bar, and people talking. And also the sound effect, when the guy transform to another man. It was so great soundpiece of music. The sound and vision were not contradict each other. It sounds pretty well when it's combined with the vision.

Week 5: The Night Air Program

I have heard when I was in the week 5, but I totaly forgot what I've heard, I think it's something about child story in somewhere in the world. What I've heard was, it was a really good piece of sound because It lead the people who heard feel like they are on its situattion.

But, I heard again from the Borders and Crossroads ,Sunday 28 May 2006. At first I heard some sound it's like a grasshopper sound as a background, and it leads the peoplel to focus on People talking. After that the music come slowly (fade in). It was a slow music, and enjoyable. After that, there is a people talking fast, they sounds angry, but the music still a slow music. They work each other pretty well, because it leading the people thinking. What makes the combination effective is: It makes the people feeling, up and down. And the people feels like they are in the flow of this soundscape.

Week4: Project1

How well did you meet the brief:

I think I meet the brief well. I made the collage, even though my first collage is wrong. I try to redo my collage. After that i develop my project, using hand sketches and then also use the computer. Finally, I made paint of myself and also I make the animation for the Project 1 then upload it to my site in the webct.

Did you succeed in bringing your vision and ideas to fruition?

Yes, I think I succeed, because I think the paint of myself looks similar with me, even though it's not a good painting. The graphics used are hand made graphics, because at that time. The technology of computer hasn't been invented or improved. And at the first technology come out, it is not really usefull for graphics designer, because it is not wysiwyg( What you see is what you get). And the hand made are more free to use, and easier to use

The image of harp(phrp n.d.)

The left image is a good hand made graphic, this is the example of the smooth one. There is a bad side of this graphic, because there is no background with it. And the graphic is also a bit different with the real object. Then the colour also aren't the same with the real object.

The image of boat(card11 n.d.)

This is the example of a rough hand made graphics. It is just an illustration of a bot in the sea, because there is not enough detail on it like the detail of the boat.
The colour of this graphic also pretty simple.

The image ofabstract (Opus no2)
This is an abstract hand made graphic. This is the example of the rough one. The combination of colour for this grapic also simple. Not many combination of colour in it.

References:

phrp [Image] n.d. I get inspire by this words, so that my self confidence willl be improved.examplels that i can practice them is in completing this unit, I will do my best, and dont worry too much fist about my final design, whether it is gonna be look good or not.

Allow events to change you:

The most important word of these sentences is Growth. This is very very very important in our real life, because if we don't growth, we wont be changed, we will be like a kid. The Growth that I mean is grow that we can accept our own fault, and willing to change to be better. If we dont grow, we will be a stubborn person, who will repeat the same mistake. I do get aspired by this motivations, that I will apply it into my design, I will make my design, and ask to the lecturer/tutor, if they ask me to change, than I will change it to make my design become better.
The example of this motivation is, if I don't change my work, after the lecturer said I need to do so, I will be have no improvement in design world

Slow Down:

This is important in design environment, because I found it that we can make things better if we slow down rather than doing something in a rush. I will use this strategy in completing my design, because design is really time consuming, and if I do my design in a rush, the final piece will not be maximal. I will practice them not just in my design perspective, also I will apply it into my life.

Don't clean your desk:

First, this strategy sounds really weird and make no sense. But if we thing more into this, this is a really good strategy, because, people might not notice something that they looking for, but often people noticed the thing when they aren't looking for it.This is aspire me, that will not put away the thing to its own place, I will put it on my desk, even though it will looks messy, but I get more benefit from it.This examples, I will apply it to my other things, not just my desk.

Laugh:

This is not really connected with the design, because I think to make a design, we dont need to have a feeling of fun. Because, If we want to make the design theme is sad, How could we design something, if we are in the condition of happy. On the other hand, I prefer to have a good mood(Happy), because i like to be happy. And my design also will be about happy things

Introduction Of Mentalities and Anomalies

After I read this article, I have got some learning, that to make a wonderful design,we need to do something different (Anomalies) way . By doing that, we can have a something idea, which we won't ever think of that before. Some way like make a collage is one of this example, because, when we make the collage, we will look at the small thing, and use our sense, it is beautiful or not, after we collect them all the raw ideas, we can just develop them to the more reasonable and come up with a beautiful final design, The other way is we can just do our own experiment, like what he just did, he burn his painting, and come up with a painting that has been created 500 years ago.

We can make many of experiment, because in this way, we can have much chance to get a good result. Also in this article, I've learnt, that everything that exist now, is the improvement / or because of they look back to the past. It is very important part, because in the design world, I think it will be good, if we compare our work with past work that had been done by artist or designer or someone., because we can know that our work is good or not

<img style="FLOAT: left; I think
that is my own unique. That is who I am, who will get bored if I see things only in 1 perspective.
I like to think something new, with that I hope that I can bring much ideas which I will donate
them to the world, as a designer. My image that I will project to the client that I'm a flexible designer who try to meet the clients need.

3: a style

My favourite designer is:

Tetsuya Nomura.

He is the designer of many Final Fantasy ever produced. Who dont know about "Final Fantasy"
these day? I think most people in the world knew about the truly wonderful graphics created
by Final Fantasy Staff. This is the best graphics i've ever known. I really want to be like him some day. I want to be the character designer of game / animation. This is so interesting, because we can see outside world (Dream World) to be seen visually in this real world.
Woah , so cool !!!
(FFShrine, n.d.)

Example of his work check this out: http://www.creativeuncut.com/artff7.html

Reference:
FFShrine, n.d., Retrieved : http://www.ffshrine.org/ffac/ffac_staff.php
CreativeUncut,2003,Retrieved : http://www.creativeuncut.com/artff7.html

Examples of styles :

I Pod advertisement, when I was walking this past few days, I watched an I Pod advertisement.
Its really just cool. The representation of People dancing, I think It similar with the program "Freehand" which i have learnt in first year of my study.( Curtin, 2006)
Another example is also from I Pod, when I was walking in city (Perth), I look at the shop also do advertise about I Pod. It's about eminem dancing with Michael Jackson song. This represent a modern art. It really really really coooolll.

Design / art movement:
Pop art
Pop art is easier to understand i think rather than anything else, escpecially abstract art, It is more difficult to understand, maybe only people who master in art will understand it.
Pop art is the easiest thats why it named popular. It easy to enjoy what's the meaning of the design. But as a designer, I'll try to learn the "abstract"art which is more difficult to understand, and produce them later.
